Code2College · Volunteer
Help build the next generation of technologists.
Three ways to get involved: teach a course section alongside another volunteer, join the on-call substitute pool, or support a one-off workshop or event. Pick whatever fits your time; new and returning volunteers welcome.
Course Instruction
Teach a course section
Co-teach one of our engineering courses with another volunteer for the full term. This fall: Elite 101, where students who already know some Python learn how software actually gets built on a team, and AI Engineering & Technical Pathways, our upper-level course for returning students. Materials and slides are provided.
What you teach
Depends on the course: from sprints, Git and pull requests to AI-assisted engineering projects. Each course's full syllabus is linked below, and course materials are ready to go.
How it works
Two volunteers per section. You'll share live delivery, support students during activities, and grade a light workload between sessions.
Commitment
Weekly live sessions for the full term. A few hours of prep per week plus class time.
Open instructor spots
Only upcoming terms are shown. Currently-running cohorts aren't listed. Can't commit to a full section? Volunteer as a substitute

Substitute Pool
Substitute instructors
Substitutes are an on-call bench, not regular instructors. We only reach out when a primary instructor can't make a specific class, and there's no commitment until you say yes to a session. Tell us which course(s) and time slot(s) could work for you and we'll take it from there.
Workshops, Events & Other Help
Support a one-off event
Shorter commitments: review student work, run a workshop breakout, mentor on a project. Pick the dates that work for you.
